Chiang Mai  is one of  two Famous Tourist Destination in Thailand and position 25 Best Destination in The World according to Trip advisor and Wikipedia  in 2014  Chiang Mai is The Largest and Culturally Significant city in Northern Thailand.  on my recent  visit in Chiang Mai for 6 days  in different areas from rural country side to mountainous area of Samoeng, and ended back to Chiang Mai town, so we search some other interesting to experience by night and looking for memorable dining experience so we found this place Khantoke Dinner and Cultural Thai Dance show with the help of our hotel front desk. they recommend us to visit this place and its very interesting place, a nice location is only few minutes drive so we hurry to book. however the show and dinner is fully book because of Christmas celebration, so we decided to return and advance book for the next night show, and it  has a two options indoor or outdoor in a large area so we book second round dinner show in an open area. start at  6:30 pm the staff will ask you to remove shoes upon entering the pavilion, and should leave it on shoes shelves next to reception area. the Cultural restaurant can accommodate about more than 700 visitors. and the large main pavilion are the  main stage area for performing cultural shows.  guest will treated with warm friendly staff.  the cultural show are the main draws here.  and we really enjoy our another wonderful  experience in Chiang mai.

This Khantoke Dinner Show Perform every Night in Chiang Mai, This Place is popular among  Local and Foreign Tourist alike, in a felicity Environment. we really have a good time  watching  these wonderful show and prefer to seat on the floor at the second row, some guest bring their own wine to celebrate  Christmas and lying down comfortably  while enjoy watching cultural dance. Guest should wear long pants to make  comfortable seat on the floor and lying down with cushion. 

I adored  the vivacious Slender and Graceful perform by hill tribe its  an exquisite show.

we Really  enjoy  our  Khantoke meal, i rarely see these dish in Bangkok  and the traditional Cultural  Thai  show was the highlight. I'm so delighted to watch this  different  Dance style and routine  in  a pleasant and lilt  environment. its a wonderful and memorable   experience to watch this Rich Various Hill tribe Dance with unique colorful Dress and a graceful finger point movement . this show is really good value for money.

another tribal group perform on stage, the unique setting open space provide  guest more relaxing vibe. were large cushion triangular pillow inviting patrons to unwind.   the cultural dance perform in different style, from finger dance, Thai candle dance to sword dance, group dance  and more.

 Sword Dance another interesting Show,  frightening for small kids even me, but the show is amazing.

This cultural dinner restaurant features indoor and out door  Traditional Thai Style Wooden Teak Pavilion Restaurant with a Large Open Space Area,  All the Audience and Guest will enjoy seating on the floor or even lying down in a comfortable Thai Triangle Cushion pillow in a red carpeted floor. the Food Served  Northern Lanna Style Khantoke means Dishes conflate different flavours,  some are dulcet taste, and Succulent in small rounded bowl with 8 types of dishes place in  small table,  such as  Steam Vegetables, Pork Curry, Crispy Pork Skin, Sticky Rice or Steam Rice Served, Sweet Crispy Rice Noodles, fried Chicken, Red chili paste dip,  mix egg plant and chili paste dip. Halal Food are also available for special request.  After we  Enjoy Dine  in  Lanna style Cuisine and it was followed by Dessert with rice sweet crackers, fresh fruit,  Coffee, and tea.    Before   the Cultural Dance finish. Guest re invited to participate the final cultural  dancing for fun at the evening.  so over all the food, cultural show, and the ambiance is perfect.

Wat Phrathat Doi suthep temple in  Chiang Mai, the  Most Sacred Temple and a Famous Tourist Attractions must visit in Chiang Mai   This Theravada Buddhist temple sits on top on Elevated Mountain of 1,038 meters above sea level at doi suthep hill at Doi Suthep Pui National park.  And located in phum sub district, chiang mai northern Thailand, and a distance of 20 km from chiang mai main center and only 20 minutes drive from Chiang Mai Zoo or Chiang Mai University.  This temple should not miss if visiting chiang mai.
One of the iconic  temple Architectural elements  of Doi Suthep is the unique characters of  kranok motif, the iconic naga fins and feather of garuda, chufas and bells, from fixture, to moldings, 3 tiered roofing, stairs to facade, sparkling glass tiles mosaic on walls that combines the motifs of green, red and golden colors that produce stunning beautiful.

 at 8:30 am we enjoy this Morning peaceful surrounding at Doi Suthep  Temple,  and we Found only  few Local young  Tourist  are praying to Lord Buddha at main chapel. while Monks are started ring  the bells and this are our wonderful experience to see the hiding gem. 

A tourist pray to Lord  Buddha image, the Biggest one is the EarthTouching Buddha, which is represent the buddha in the final moment of his life. sits in a single Lotus Position. with the leg cross, with a right leg position are resting place on top, and 3 emerald Buddha on the other side.  Many devotees and Theravada Buddhist followers are  making merit this Sacred site During Important  Buddhist Day and also the first day of the Year,  many devotees off their shoes and walk around encircled the Large Chedi and all four Cardinals with Lotus Flowers and Candles place on Palm to seek good health, and Good Luck for Buddhism. At the Ground in the Morning specially  new  year there are many lay People are giving alms to monk and making merit before 7 am .  if visitors want peaceful and quite you must come early Morning and watch the Community lay people the way  of Life  at Temple Ground .  it is also good for taking  Photographs   where many Orange robe Monks  Lining up with begging bowls are waiting to lay people for food and donations.  after we leisurely heading off visiting this community  and taking picture  at the temple Ground in the morning  we started walking to more than 100 steps Naga stairs on the way up to the mountain hill   leading to  Temple the main Chapel  at  8 am to catch the best scenery in the morning  its nice to  see and observed the peacefulness of these Temple in The Morning  and the cool weather during Month of december  after we spend 2  hours in every corners, and pay respect to lord Buddha even i'm Catholic i also pay respect to lord Buddha a prayers for safe Journey back home. at the Right corner  we found small shops selling fresh hot tea, coffee  and sandwich near at the terrace so we fill up our craving stomach before leaving the temple and  proceed to our next destination.  as we found  Tourist started arriving and make crowds  mostly  large group of Tourist in the Big Bus.

Around 11 am  the tourist crowds and noise are everywhere, at upper terraces  and inner sanctuary  are mix with both buddhism and hinduism  but the  golden plated Large chedi  houses holly Buddha relics,    Surrounded by Royal Umbrella, Many Different Posture of  Lord Buddha Image still  remarkable so beautiful in exterior perspective. 

This  Main Chapel " shrine from inner sanctuary"  are the Main  center of prayer area,  houses  large Tiered Golden Pagoda, the golden spires pagoda or chedi measures at 20 meters  height with seven tiered representing the seven level of meditation. and houses Holly Buddha Relics. the upper terraces are surrounded with the Guardian Angels,  Lord Buddha in Different Posture, the Royal Umbrella the Sacred elements such as the Murals and Values,  the ordination hall and other important  Religious Buildings is one of the most unique elements of Northern  Lanna style  Temple, the  exterior perspective and the  the uniqueness of  roof finials is rich in  architectural details  found every tier of roofing the  thin panels  edge of roof at the gable ends are embodies guardian figures with naga fins and feather of garuda painted in gold, white and red  that matches the same colors in surrounding area of main chapel The Guardian figures Symbolizes a religious believed to protect against evil spirit.

Many devotees and Theravada Buddhist followers are  making merit in the Morning, some of them encircled many times to Large Chedi with candles and flowers on palm. if you visit this temple around 11 to 3 pm its very crowded, as the image above can tell. 

Doi Suthep  Temple is one of The  Iconic site  and Famous tourist attractions in Thailand, found many  Tourist Destination Brochures  in Thailand even travel and Tours. in fact this Temple is Sacred and one of the most Important Temple in Northern Thailand, Many Thai People always come to pay  respect to  Lord Buddha  and make merit During  Buddhist Day.  and the first day of New Year.

it has Mellifluous various important religious figures of Lord Buddha poses the day you were Born from Begging  alms Buddha to Contemplation Buddha.  found in this altar, you can pay Respect to your Guardian Buddha from Monday to Sunday. 

The temple terraces and inner sanctuary  features 3 Religious building in 3 sides   made of wooden teak Viharn decorated with rich architectural details and temple elements,  and  in the upper terraces houses various types of important Lord Buddha image in different postures from sitting emerald Buddha image, golden and black Buddha Mucalinda a sheltering Gautama Buddha and other dozens of Lord Buddha statues . there are 8 Lord Buddha posses of the day of the week you was Born  From begging Buddha or alms collecting Buddha to Contemplation Buddha these are the 7 days and 2 on Tuesday morning and evening  from monday to sunday Guardian Buddha . These are our Guardian Angels. you can pay respect to your guardian Buddha of which particular days you were Born.

a cable car offer to any visitors on the other gate,  they charge 50  baht per trip back and forth.

Samoeng District is one of the most exquisite District in chiang mai northern Thailand, in fact samoeng district is subdivided in 45 villages and a population of more than 24,000 including hill tribes such as karen, lisu, lu and hmong living in the highlands the majority of these hill tribes working in the agricultural field,
Samoeng surrounded by hills, valleys and forested mountains. and Popular tourism destination among local Tourist, because Samoeng has its own unique features, still intact the natural settings of rural country side the ambiance it has spectacular majestic greenery landscape. Samoeng loop is heaven among cyclist and motor bike riders and for the whole family to enjoy as well as picking strawberries in the Farm. Samoeng District is only 50 km  distance from chiang mai center.  

medium size of sweet organic ripe strawberries  we just pick from the garden of Maejo 72 strawberry farm. this Organic Strawberry Farm is unknown by Tourist as we are visiting different  strawberry farm nearby  we found this small farm next to hill side and we are so delighted to see lots of ripe strawberries  fruit in this Garden. and we pay 180 baht more than half kilo.

i bough this strawberry plant in a plastic container, it mesmerized me as i sitting next to this linear terrace enjoying my coffee and the scenery. the farmers asking  60 baht per plant, so i bough 2  i hope will survive in my small garden.

Wongwan Strawberry farm another popular strawberry farm in Chiang Mai this farm grow hybrid organic strawberries, Wongwan  farm is located in a large flat lawn where strawberries nurtured by perfect climate. there's several small  wooden bungalows for rent  beside the farm.  and they served Thai Food in an open air Restaurant over looking to the Garden.  except picking strawberries are popular activities here,  you can also enjoy refreshing drinks they offer one of the highlight is strawberries smoothies and strawberries Somtam Salad for relaxing in a beautiful scenery and cold weather of Samoeng.  but December specially new years holiday mostly the accommodation in Samoeng is  almost  fully occupied, so early reservation is advisable.  

 During Christmas and new years Holiday,  from Morning to  afternoon there are many visitors in every popular strawberry  farm at Samoeng, and  the majority is family with small  children. some  of these kids are  exciting wondering in the strawberry  farm  to see large sweet red ripe strawberries pick by their hand  in these garden.  but sometimes  kids i saw they're  Face look disappointed because no more left. since early December, visitors from different Regions are already visiting this farm and pick all the best ripe fruit.   if you like to avoid crowds Samoeng have Plenty of strawberry farm and these are unknown by many Tourist and avoid visiting popular place  many of these farm have few strawberries ripe left in the garden. but the best thing for  tourist to  enjoy is the beautiful scenery and cool weather good for photography.
